"Then you shall makeits lampsseven[in number]; and they shall mountits lampsso as to shedlighton the spacein frontof it.
"Everymorningand eveningthey burnto the LORDburntofferingsand fragrantincense,and the showbreadis [set] on the cleantable,and the goldenlampstandwith its lampsis [ready] to lighteveryevening;for we keepthe chargeof the LORDour God,but you have forsakenHim.
the lampstandswith their lampsof puregold,to burnin frontof the innersanctuaryin the wayprescribed;
Your wordis a lampto my feetAnd a lightto my path.
"Its snuffersand their trays[shall be] of puregold.
"In the tentof meeting,outsidethe veilwhichis beforethe testimony,Aaronand his sonsshall keepit in orderfrom eveningto morningbeforethe LORD;[it shall be] a perpetualstatutethroughout their generationsfor the sonsof Israel.
"When Aarontrimsthe lampsat twilight,he shall burnincense.[There shall be] perpetualincensebeforethe LORDthroughout your generations.
He madeits sevenlampswith its snuffersand its traysof puregold.
Then he placedthe lampstandin the tentof meeting,oppositethe table,on the southsideof the tabernacle.
He lightedthe lampsbeforethe LORD,justas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
For the commandmentis a lampand the teachingis light;And reproofsfor disciplineare the wayof life
To the lawand to the testimony!Ifthey do not speakaccording to thisword,it is becausethey havenodawn.
He saidto me, "Whatdo you see?"And I said,"I see,and behold,a lampstandallof goldwith its bowlon the topof it, and its sevenlampson it with sevenspoutsbelonging to each of the lampswhichare on the topof it;
"Then they shall takea blueclothand coverthe lampstandfor the light,along with its lampsand its snuffers,and its traysand allits oilvessels,by whichthey serveit;
"Speakto Aaronand sayto him, 'When you mountthe lamps,the sevenlampswill givelightin the frontof the lampstand.'"
"You are the lightof the world.A cityseton a hillcannotbe hidden;
TO SHINEUPON THOSEWHO SITIN DARKNESSAND THE SHADOWOF DEATH,To guideour feetinto the wayof peace."
There was the true Lightwhich,cominginto the world,enlightenseveryman.
"Whywas thisperfumenot soldfor three hundreddenariiand givento poor[people]?"
ThenJesusagainspoketo them, saying,"I amthe Lightof the world;he who followsMe will not walkin the darkness,but will havethe Lightof life."
to opentheir eyesso that they may turnfrom darknessto lightand from the dominionof Satanto God,that they may receiveforgivenessof sinsand an inheritanceamongthosewho have been sanctifiedby faithin Me.'
ThenI turnedto seethe voicethat was speakingwith me. And having turnedI sawsevengoldenlampstands;
"As for the mysteryof the sevenstarswhichyou sawin My right hand,and the sevengoldenlampstands:the sevenstarsare the angelsof the sevenchurches,and the sevenlampstandsare the sevenchurches.
Johnto the sevenchurchesthat are in Asia:Graceto you and peace,from Him who is and who was and who is to come,and from the sevenSpiritswhoare beforeHis throne,
And there will nolongerbe [any] night;and they will not haveneedof the lightof a lampnorthe lightof the sun,becausethe LordGodwill illuminethem; and they will reignforeverand ever.
Out from the thronecomeflashes of lightningand soundsand peals of thunder.And [there were] sevenlampsof fireburningbeforethe throne,whichare the sevenSpiritsof God;
