But he refusedand saidto his master'swife,"Behold,with me [here], my masterdoes not concernhimself with anythingin the house,and he has putallthat he ownsin my charge.
an oathbefore the LORDshall be madeby the twoof them that he has not laidhandson his neighbor'sproperty;and its ownershall accept[it], and he shall not makerestitution.
"For everybreachof trust,[whether it is] for ox,for donkey,for sheep,for clothing,[or] for anylostthingabout whichone says,'Thisis it,' the caseof bothparties shall comebeforethe judges;he whomthe judgescondemnshall paydoubleto his neighbor.
but the one who did not know[it], and committeddeeds worthyof a flogging,will receivebut few.From everyonewhohas been givenmuch,muchwill be required;and to whomthey entrustedmuch,of him they will askall the more.
"Thereforeifyou have not beenfaithfulin the [use of] unrighteouswealth,whowill entrustthe true [riches] to you?
For thisreasonI alsosufferthese things,but I am not ashamed;for I knowwhomI have believedand I am convincedthat He is ableto guardwhat I have entrustedto Him untilthat day.
