And Mosesbroughtthe peopleout of the campto meetGod,and they stoodat the footof the mountain.
Nohandshall touchhim, but he shall surelybe stonedorshotthrough;whetherbeastorman,he shall not live.'When the ram'shornsoundsa longblast,they shall comeup to the mountain."
So it cameabout on the thirdday,when it was morning,that there were thunderand lightningflashesand a thickcloudupon the mountainand a veryloudtrumpetsound,so that allthe peoplewho[were] in the camptrembled.
Now MountSinai[was] allin smokebecausethe LORDdescendedupon it in fire;and its smokeascendedlike the smokeof a furnace,and the wholemountainquakedviolently.
So they tookwhatMoseshad commandedto the frontof the tentof meeting,and the wholecongregationcamenearand stoodbeforethe LORD.
"Thisis the one who was in the congregationin the wildernesstogetherwith the angelwho was speakingto him on MountSinai,and [who was] with our fathers;and he receivedlivingoraclesto passon to you.
"[Remember] the dayyou stoodbeforethe LORDyour Godat Horeb,when the LORDsaidto me, 'Assemblethe peopleto Me, that I may let them hearMy wordssothey may learnto fearMe allthe daysthey liveon the earth,and that they may teachtheir children.'
"You camenearand stoodat the footof the mountain,and the mountainburnedwith fireto the [very] heartof the heavens:darkness,cloudand thickgloom.
[while] I was standingbetweenthe LORDand you at that time,to declareto you the wordof the LORD;for you were afraidbecauseof the fireand did not goup the mountain.He said,
