So Mosescriedout to the LORD,saying,"Whatshall I doto thispeople?A littlemoreand they will stoneme."
Mosesand Aaronwere among His priests,And Samuelwas among those who calledon His name;They calledupon the LORDand He answeredthem.
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Whyare you cryingout to Me? Tellthe sonsof Israelto goforward.
Then he criedout to the LORD,and the LORDshowedhim a tree;and he threw[it] into the waters,and the watersbecamesweet.ThereHe madefor them a statuteand regulation,and thereHe testedthem.
So Mosessaidto the LORD,"Whyhave You been so hardon Your servant?And whyhave I not foundfavorin Your sight,that You have laidthe burdenof allthispeopleon me?
But allthe congregationsaidto stonethem with stones.Then the gloryof the LORDappearedin the tentof meetingto allthe sonsof Israel.
Thus Korahassembledallthe congregationagainstthem at the doorwayof the tentof meeting.And the gloryof the LORDappearedto allthe congregation.
The Jewspickedup stonesagainto stoneHim.
Thereforethey pickedup stonesto throwat Him, but JesushidHimself and wentout of the temple.
But Jewscamefrom Antiochand Iconium,and having won overthe crowds,they stonedPauland draggedhim out of the city,supposinghim to be dead.
WAS IT NOT MY HANDWHICH MADEALLTHESE THINGS?'
Moreover Davidwas greatlydistressedbecausethe peoplespokeof stoninghim, for allthe peoplewere embittered,eachonebecauseof his sonsand his daughters.But Davidstrengthenedhimself in the LORDhis God.
