And abovewere costlystones,stonecutaccording to measure,and cedar.
The stonewhich the buildersrejectedHas becomethe chiefcorner[stone].
Wisdomhas builther house,She has hewnout her sevenpillars;
Thereforethussaysthe LordGOD,"Behold,I am layingin Ziona stone,a testedstone,A costlycornerstone[for] the foundation,firmlyplaced.He who believes[in it] will not be disturbed.
"From them will comethe cornerstone,From them the tentpeg,From them the bowof battle,From them everyruler,[all] of them together.
"I alsosayto you that you are Peter,and upon thisrockI will buildMy church;and the gatesof Hadeswill not overpowerit.
Jesussaidto them, "Did you neverreadin the Scriptures,THE STONEWHICHTHE BUILDERSREJECTED,THISBECAMETHE CHIEFCORNER[stone]; THISCAMEABOUT FROM THE LORD,AND IT IS MARVELOUSIN OUR EYES'?
And Godhas appointedin the church,firstapostles,secondprophets,thirdteachers,thenmiracles,thengiftsof healings,helps,administrations,[various] kindsof tongues.
and recognizingthe gracethat had been givento me, Jamesand Cephasand John,who were reputedto be pillars,gaveto me and Barnabasthe right handof fellowship,sothat we [might] [go] to the Gentilesand they to the circumcised.
whichin othergenerationswas not made knownto the sonsof men,as it has nowbeen revealedto His holyapostlesand prophetsin the Spirit;
having been firmly rooted[and now] being builtup in Him and establishedin your faith,justas you were instructed,[and] overflowingwith gratitude.
For [this] is containedin Scripture:"BEHOLD,I LAYIN ZIONA CHOICESTONE,A PRECIOUSCORNER[stone], AND HE WHO BELIEVESIN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."
And the wallof the cityhadtwelvefoundation stones,and on them [were] the twelvenamesof the twelveapostlesof the Lamb.
