Of the sonsof Issachar,men who understoodthe times,with knowledgeof whatIsraelshould do,their chiefs[were] two hundred;and alltheir kinsmen[were] at their command.
ThenI shall not be ashamedWhen I lookupon allYour commandments.
But the midwivesfearedGod,and did not doas the kingof Egypthad commandedthem, but let the boyslive.
Noharmbefallsthe righteous,But the wickedare filledwith trouble.
Wisdomis in the presenceof the one who hasunderstanding,But the eyesof a foolare on the endsof the earth.
A wiseman'sheart[directs him] toward the right,but the foolishman'sheart[directs him] toward the left.
The conclusion,when allhas been heard,[is]: fearGodand keepHis commandments,becausethis[applies to] everyperson.
The wiseman'seyesare in his head,but the foolwalksin darkness.And yetI knowthat onefatebefallsthem both.
I say, "Keepthe commandof the kingbecauseof the oathbefore God.
Ephraimis oppressed,crushedin judgment,Becausehe was determinedto follow[man's] command.
And He saidto them, "Thenrenderto Caesarthe things that are Caesar's,and to Godthe things that are God's."
But Peterand Johnansweredand saidto them, "Whetherit is rightin the sightof Godto give heedto you ratherthanto God,you be the judge;
But Peterand the apostlesanswered,"We mustobeyGodratherthanmen.
For thisreasonalso,sincethe daywe heard[of it], we have not ceasedto prayfor you and to askthat you may be filledwith the knowledgeof His willin allspiritualwisdomand understanding,
But solidfoodis for the mature,who becauseof practicehavetheir sensestrainedto discerngoodand evil.
