"So the LORDcommandedus to observeallthesestatutes,to fearthe LORDour Godfor our goodalwaysand for our survival,as [it is] today.
The LORDwill protecthim and keephim alive,And he shall be calledblessedupon the earth;And do not givehim over to the desireof his enemies.
The LORDwill sustainhim upon his sickbed;In his illness,You restorehim to health.
Who keepsus in lifeAnd does not allowour feetto slip.
Mosessaidto the people,"Do not be afraid;for Godhas comein orderto testyou, and in orderthat the fearof Him may remainwith you, so that you may not sin."
The rewardof humility[and] the fearof the LORDAre riches,honorand life.
Ifyou are wise,you are wisefor yourself, And if you scoff,you alonewill bearit.
Sayto the righteousthat [it will go] well[with them], For they will eatthe fruitof their actions.
and I will givethem oneheartand oneway,that they may fearMe always,for their own goodand for [the good of] their childrenafterthem.
"But seekfirstHis kingdomand His righteousness,and allthese thingswill be addedto you.
And He saidto him, "You have answeredcorrectly;DOTHISAND YOU WILL LIVE."
For Moseswritesthat the manwho practicesthe righteousnesswhich is basedon lawshall liveby that righteousness.
"Now,O Israel,listento the statutesand the judgmentswhichI am teachingyou to perform,sothat you may liveand goin and takepossessionof the landwhichthe LORD,the Godof your fathers,is givingyou.
"But you who heldfastto the LORDyour Godare alivetoday,everyoneof you.
sothat you and your sonand your grandsonmight fearthe LORDyour God,to keepallHis statutesand His commandmentswhichI commandyou, allthe daysof your life,and that your daysmay be prolonged.
He broughtus out from therein orderto bringus in, to giveus the landwhichHe had swornto our fathers.'
"Allthe commandmentsthat I am commandingyou todayyou shall be carefulto do,that you may liveand multiply,and goin and possessthe landwhichthe LORDswore[to give] to your forefathers.
"He humbledyou and let you be hungry,and fedyou with mannawhichyou did not know,nordid your fathersknow,that He might make you understandthat mandoes not liveby breadalone,but manlivesby everythingthat proceedsout of the mouthof the LORD.
