The mansaidto me, "Sonof man,seewith your eyes,hearwith your ears,and giveattentionto allthat I am going to showyou; for you have been broughtherein orderto show[it] to you. Declareto the houseof Israelallthat you see."
The LORDsaidto me, "Sonof man,markwell,seewith your eyesand hearwith your earsallthat I sayto you concerning allthe statutesof the houseof the LORDand concerning allits laws;and markwellthe entranceof the house,with allexitsof the sanctuary.
For thussaysthe LORDto the houseof Israel,"SeekMe that you may live.
"Let thesewordssinkinto your ears;for the Sonof Manis goingto be deliveredinto the handsof men."
"You shall therefore impressthesewordsof mine on your heartand on your soul;and you shall bindthem as a signon your hand,and they shall be as frontalson your forehead.
"You shall teachthem to your sons,talkingof them when you sitin your houseand when you walkalong the roadand when you liedownand when you riseup.
When Moseshad finishedspeakingallthesewordsto allIsrael,
"So keepand do[them], for that is your wisdomand your understandingin the sightof the peopleswhowill hearallthesestatutesand say,'Surelythisgreatnationis a wiseand understandingpeople.'
"Onlygiveheedto yourself and keepyour souldiligently,sothat you do not forgetthe thingswhichyour eyeshave seenand they do not departfrom your heartallthe daysof your life;but makethem knownto your sonsand your grandsons.
For thisreasonwe mustpaymuch closerattentionto what we have heard,sothat we do not drift away[from it].
