ThisdayI will beginto putthe dreadand fearof you upon the peopleseverywhereunderthe heavens,who,when they hearthe reportof you, will trembleand be in anguishbecauseof you.'
As they journeyed,there was a greatterrorupon the citieswhichwere aroundthem, and they did not pursuethe sonsof Jacob.
Then the fameof Davidwentout into allthe lands;and the LORDbroughtthe fearof him on allthe nations.
Egyptwas gladwhen they departed,For the dreadof them had fallenupon them.
"I will sendMy terroraheadof you, and throwinto confusionallthe peopleamong whomyou come,and I will makeallyour enemiesturn[their] backsto you.
It will be to Me a nameof joy,praiseand glorybefore allthe nationsof the earthwhichwill hearof allthe goodthat I dofor them, and they will fearand tremblebecauseof allthe goodand allthe peacethat I makefor it.'
So Moabwas in greatfearbecauseof the people,for they were numerous;and Moabwas in dreadof the sonsof Israel.
"Nomanwill be able to standbeforeyou; the LORDyour Godwill laythe dreadof you and the fearof you on allthe landon whichyou setfoot,as He has spokento you.
"So allthe peoplesof the earthwill seethat you are calledby the nameof the LORD,and they will be afraidof you.
that he fearedgreatly,becauseGibeon[was] a greatcity,like oneof the royalcities,and becauseit was greaterthanAi,and allits men[were] mighty.
So they answeredJoshuaand said,"Becauseit was certainlytoldyour servantsthat the LORDyour Godhad commandedHis servantMosesto giveyou allthe land,and to destroyallthe inhabitantsof the landbeforeyou; therefore we fearedgreatlyfor our livesbecauseof you, and have donethisthing.
Behold,I will cause[those] of the synagogueof Satan,who saythat they are Jewsand are not, but lie--I will makethem comeand bow downat your feet,and [make them] knowthat I have lovedyou.
