And anymanfrom the houseof Israel,or from the alienswho sojournamongthem, whoeatsanyblood,I will setMy faceagainst that personwho eatsbloodand will cuthim offfrom amonghis people.

but that we writeto them that they abstainfrom things contaminatedby idolsand from fornicationand from what is strangledand from blood.

The peoplerushedgreedilyupon the spoil,and tooksheepand oxenand calves,and slew[them] on the ground;and the peopleate[them] with the blood.
Then they toldSaul,saying,"Behold,the peopleare sinningagainst the LORDby eatingwith the blood."And he said,"You have actedtreacherously;rolla greatstoneto me today."
