I sawhim comebesidethe ram,and he was enragedat him; and he struckthe ramand shatteredhis twohorns,and the ramhadnostrengthto withstandhim. So he hurledhim to the groundand trampledon him, and there was noneto rescuethe ramfrom his power.
"The kingof the Southwill be enragedand goforthand fightwith the kingof the North.Then the latter will raisea greatmultitude,but [that] multitudewill be giveninto the handof the [former].
"As for the restof the beasts,their dominionwas takenaway,but an extensionof lifewas grantedto them for an appointedperiodof time.
"AfterthisI keptlookingin the nightvisions,and behold,a fourthbeast,dreadfuland terrifyingand extremelystrong;and it had largeironteeth.It devouredand crushedand trampleddownthe remainderwith its feet;and it was differentfrom allthe beaststhat were beforeit, and it had tenhorns.
It grewup to the hostof heavenand caused someof the hostand someof the starsto fallto the earth,and it trampledthem down.
He cameup to the ramthat had the two horns,whichI had seenstandingin frontof the canal,and rushedat him in his mightywrath.
Then the malegoatmagnified[himself] exceedingly.But as soon as he was mighty,the largehornwas broken;and in its placethere cameup fourconspicuous[horns] toward the fourwindsof heaven.
They will therefore stumbleover eachotheras if [running] from the sword,although nooneis pursuing;and you will have[no strength] to standup beforeyour enemies.
When the menof Aiturnedbackand looked,behold,the smokeof the cityascendedto the sky,and they hadnoplaceto fleethiswayor that, for the peoplewho had been fleeingto the wildernessturnedagainstthe pursuers.
