Thisis the dream[which] I, KingNebuchadnezzar,have seen.Now you, Belteshazzar,tell[me] its interpretation,inasmuchas noneof the wisemenof my kingdomis ableto makeknownto me the interpretation;but you are able,for a spiritof the holygodsis in you.'
Then Josephsaidto him, "Thisis the interpretationof it: the threebranchesare threedays;
Pharaohsaidto Joseph,"I have hada dream,but noonecan interpretit; and I have heardit saidaboutyou, that when you heara dreamyou can interpretit."
Now in the morninghis spiritwas troubled,so he sentand calledfor allthe magiciansof Egypt,and allits wisemen.And Pharaohtoldthem his dreams,but therewas noonewho could interpretthem to Pharaoh.
"Then the spiritof the Egyptianswill be demoralizedwithinthem; And I will confoundtheir strategy,So that they will resortto idolsand ghostsof the deadAnd to mediumsand spiritists.
As for everymatterof wisdomand understandingabout whichthe kingconsultedthem, he foundthem tentimesbetterthanallthe magicians[and] conjurerswho[were] in allhis realm.
and whereverthe sonsof mendwell,[or] the beastsof the field,or the birdsof the sky,He has given[them] into your handand has caused you to ruleover them all.You are the headof gold.
They answereda secondtimeand said,"Let the kingtellthe dreamto his servants,and we will declarethe interpretation."
"Just nowthe wisemen[and] the conjurerswere broughtin beforeme that they might readthisinscriptionand makeits interpretationknownto me, but they couldnot declarethe interpretationof the message.
Thenallthe king'swisemencamein, but they couldnot readthe inscriptionor makeknownits interpretationto the king.
