"But rumorsfrom the Eastand from the Northwill disturbhim, and he will goforthwith greatwrathto destroyand annihilatemany.
"The kingof the Southwill be enragedand goforthand fightwith the kingof the North.Then the latter will raisea greatmultitude,but [that] multitudewill be giveninto the handof the [former].
"For shipsof Kittimwill comeagainst him; therefore he will be disheartenedand will returnand becomeenragedat the holycovenantand takeaction;so he will comebackand showregardfor those who forsakethe holycovenant.
"But he will gaincontrolover the hiddentreasuresof goldand silverand over allthe preciousthingsof Egypt;and Libyansand Ethiopians[will follow] at his heels.
"He will pitchthe tentsof his royalpavilionbetweenthe seasand the beautifulHolyMountain;yet he will cometo his end,and noonewill helphim.
The sixth[angel] pouredout his bowlon the greatriver,the Euphrates;and its waterwas driedup, sothat the waywould be preparedfor the kingsfrom the east.
"Thesehaveonepurpose,and they givetheir powerand authorityto the beast.
