Philipwent downto the cityof Samariaand [began] proclaimingChristto them.
The statementfound approvalwith the wholecongregation;and they choseStephen,a manfullof faithand of the HolySpirit,and Philip,Prochorus,Nicanor,Timon,Parmenasand Nicolas,a proselytefrom Antioch.
On the next daywe leftand cameto Caesarea,and enteringthe houseof Philipthe evangelist,who was one of the seven,we stayedwith him.
But Philipfoundhimself at Azotus,and as he passed throughhe kept preaching the gospelto allthe citiesuntilhe cameto Caesarea.
For no mancanlaya foundationotherthanthe one which is laid,whichis JesusChrist.
but we preachChristcrucified,to Jewsa stumbling blockand to Gentilesfoolishness,
And everyday,in the templeand from house to house,they keptrighton teachingand preachingJesus[as] the Christ.
For I determinedto knownothingamongyou exceptJesusChrist,and Him crucified.
and immediatelyhe [began] to proclaimJesusin the synagogues,saying,"He is the Sonof God."
Saulwas in hearty agreementwith putting him to death.And on that daya greatpersecutionbeganagainstthe churchin Jerusalem,and they were allscatteredthroughoutthe regionsof Judeaand Samaria,exceptthe apostles.
but you will receivepowerwhen the HolySpirithas comeupon you; and you shall be My witnessesbothin Jerusalem,and in allJudeaand Samaria,and evento the remotest partof the earth."
The crowdswith one accordwere giving attentionto what was saidby Philip,as they heardand sawthe signswhichhe was performing.
But an angelof the Lordspoketo Philipsaying,"Getup and gosouthto the roadthat descendsfrom Jerusalemto Gaza."(Thisis a desert[road].)
Philipranup and heardhim readingIsaiahthe prophet,and said,"Do you understandwhatyou are reading?"
