EvenSimonhimselfbelieved;and after being baptized,he continuedon with Philip,and as he observedsignsand greatmiraclestaking place,he was constantly amazed.
Godwas performingextraordinarymiraclesby the handsof Paul,
"For the Fatherlovesthe Son,and showsHim all thingsthat He Himselfis doing;and [the Father] will showHim greaterworksthan these,sothat you will marvel.
The nextSabbathnearlythe wholecityassembledto hearthe wordof the Lord.
Jesusansweredthem, "I didonedeed,and you allmarvel.
"Those on the rocky[soil are] those who,whenthey hear,receivethe wordwith joy;and thesehaveno[firm] root;they believefor a while,and in timeof temptationfall away.
"Thesesignswill accompanythosewho have believed:in My namethey will castout demons,they will speakwith newtongues;
"You have nopartorportionin thismatter,for your heartis not rightbeforeGod.
and they were taking noteof him as beingthe one who used to sitat the BeautifulGateof the templeto [beg] alms,and they were filledwith wonderand amazementat what had happenedto him.
"Lookamong the nations!Observe!Be astonished!Wonder!Because[I am] doingsomethingin your days--You would not believeifyou were told.
and they were being baptizedby him in the JordanRiver,as they confessedtheir sins.
