and saidto him, 'LEAVEYOUR COUNTRYAND YOUR RELATIVES,AND COMEINTO THE LANDTHAT I WILL SHOWYOU.'
Now the LORDsaidto Abram,"Goforth from your country,And from your relativesAnd from your father'shouse,To the landwhichI will showyou;
And He saidto him, "I am the LORDwhobroughtyou out of Urof the Chaldeans,to giveyou thislandto possessit."
and it cameabout, whenGodcaused me to wanderfrom my father'shouse,that I saidto her, 'Thisis the kindnesswhichyou will showto me: everywherewe go,sayof me, "He is my brother."'"
"You foundhis heartfaithfulbeforeYou, And madea covenantwith him To give[him] the landof the Canaanite,Of the Hittiteand the Amorite,Of the Perizzite,the Jebusiteand the Girgashite--To give[it] to his descendants.And You have fulfilledYour promise,For You are righteous.
"He who lovesfatherormothermorethanMe is not worthyof Me; and he who lovessonordaughtermore thanMe is not worthyof Me.
"Sothen,noneof you canbe My disciplewhodoes not giveup allhis ownpossessions.
"Thenhe leftthe landof the Chaldeansand settledin Haran.From there,afterhis fatherdied,[God] had him moveto thiscountryin whichyou are nowliving.
"Therefore,COMEOUT FROM THEIR MIDSTAND BE SEPARATE,"saysthe Lord."AND DO NOT TOUCHWHAT IS UNCLEAN;And I will welcomeyou.
By faithAbraham,when he was called,obeyedby goingout to a placewhichhe was to receivefor an inheritance;and he wentout, not knowingwherehe was going.
Then I tookyour fatherAbrahamfrom beyondthe River,and ledhim through allthe landof Canaan,and multipliedhis descendantsand gavehim Isaac.
