A hot-temperedmanstirsup strife,But the slowto angercalmsa dispute.
Thosewho had seizedJesusled Him awayto Caiaphas,the high priest,wherethe scribesand the elderswere gathered together.
"But I sayto you that everyonewho is angrywith his brothershall be guiltybefore the court;and whoeversaysto his brother,You good-for-nothing,'shall be guiltybefore the supreme court;and whoeversays,'You fool,'shall be guilty[enough to go] into the fieryhell.
On oneof the dayswhile He was teachingthe peoplein the templeand preaching the gospel,the chief priestsand the scribeswith the eldersconfronted[Him],
But the Jewsincitedthe devoutwomenof prominenceand the leading menof the city,and instigateda persecutionagainstPauland Barnabas,and drovethem out of their district.
But the Jewswho disbelievedstirredup the mindsof the Gentilesand embitteredthem againstthe brethren.
But whenthe Jewsof Thessalonicafoundout that the wordof Godhad been proclaimedby Paulin Bereaalso,they camethere as well,agitatingand stirringup the crowds.
But while Galliowas proconsulof Achaia,the Jewswith one accordrose up againstPauland broughthim beforethe judgment seat,
Whenthe sevendayswere almostover,the Jewsfrom Asia,upon seeinghim in the temple,[began] to stirup allthe crowdand laidhandson him,
They laidhandson the apostlesand putthem in a publicjail.
When they had broughtthem, they stoodthem beforethe Council.The high priestquestionedthem,
Thenthey secretly inducedmento say,"We have heardhim speakblasphemouswordsagainstMosesand [against] God."
