Hearthe wordof the LORD,You rulersof Sodom;Giveearto the instructionof our God,You peopleof Gomorrah.
Woeto those who schemeiniquity,Who workout evilon their beds!When morningcomes, they doit, For it is in the powerof their hands.
Earlyin the morningthe chief priestswith the eldersand scribesand the wholeCouncil,immediatelyhelda consultation;and bindingJesus,they led Him awayand deliveredHim to Pilate.
On oneof the dayswhile He was teachingthe peoplein the templeand preaching the gospel,the chief priestsand the scribeswith the eldersconfronted[Him],
Whenit was day,the Council of eldersof the peopleassembled,bothchief priestsand scribes,and they led Him awayto their council[chamber], saying,
Pilatesummonedthe chief priestsand the rulersand the people,
and howthe chief priestsand our rulersdeliveredHim to the sentenceof death,and crucifiedHim.
ThenPeter,filledwith the HolySpirit,saidto them, "Rulersand eldersof the people,
But a PhariseenamedGamaliel,a teacher of the Law,respectedby allthe people,stoodup in the Counciland gave ordersto putthe menoutsidefor a short time.
And they stirredup the people,the eldersand the scribes,and they cameup to him and dragged him awayand broughthim beforethe Council.
