Thenallthe citywas provoked,and the peoplerushed together,and taking holdof Paulthey draggedhim out of the temple,and immediatelythe doorswere shut.
And Jehoiadathe priestcommandedthe captainsof hundredswho were appointedover the armyand saidto them, "Bringher out betweenthe ranks,and whoever followsher putto deathwith the sword."For the priestsaid,"Let her not be putto deathin the houseof the LORD."
When Herodthe kingheard[this], he was troubled,and allJerusalemwith him.
When He had enteredJerusalem,allthe citywas stirred,saying,"Whois this?"
and they gotup and droveHim out of the city,and ledHim to the browof the hillon whichtheir cityhad been built,in orderto throw Him down the cliff.
The citywas filledwith the confusion,and they rushedwith one accordinto the theater,dragging alongGaiusand Aristarchus,Paul'straveling companionsfrom Macedonia.
