But alsosomeof the Jewishexorcists,who went from place to place,attemptedto nameoverthosewho hadthe evilspiritsthe nameof the LordJesus,saying,"I adjureyou by JesuswhomPaulpreaches."
"Whenyou cultivatethe ground,it will nolongeryieldits strengthto you; you will be a vagrantand a wandereron the earth."
"Behold,You have drivenme this dayfrom the faceof the ground;and from Your faceI will be hidden,and I will be a vagrantand a wandereron the earth,and whoeverfindsme will killme."
Then the kingsaidto him, "Howmanytimesmust I adjureyou to speakto me nothingbut the truthin the nameof the LORD?"
Let his childrenwanderabout and beg;And let them seek[sustenance] far from their ruinedhomes.
"IfI by Beelzebulcastout demons,by whomdo your sonscast[them] out? For thisreasonthey will be your judges.
But Jesuskept silent.And the high priestsaidto Him, "I adjureYou by the livingGod,that You tellus whetherYou are the Christ,the Sonof God."
and shoutingwith a loudvoice,he said,"Whatbusiness do we have with each other, Jesus,Sonof the Most HighGod?I imploreYou by God,do not tormentme!"
Johnsaidto Him, "Teacher,we sawsomeonecastingout demonsin Your name,and we tried to preventhim becausehe was not followingus."
"And ifI by Beelzebulcastout demons,by whomdo your sonscastthem out? Sothey will be your judges.
Johnansweredand said,"Master,we sawsomeonecastingout demonsin Your name;and we tried to preventhim becausehe does not followalong with us."

For ifone comesand preachesanotherJesuswhomwe have not preached,oryou receivea differentspiritwhichyou have not received,ora differentgospelwhichyou have not accepted,you bear[this] beautifully.
Then Joshuamade them takean oathat that time,saying,"Cursedbeforethe LORDis the manwhorisesup and buildsthiscityJericho;with [the loss of] his firstbornhe shall layits foundation,and with [the loss of] his youngestsonhe shall setup its gates."
Now the menof Israelwere hard-pressedon that day,for Saulhad putthe peopleunderoath,saying,"Cursedbe the manwhoeatsfoodbeforeevening,and untilI have avengedmyself on my enemies."So noneof the peopletastedfood.
