Whenhe had seenthe vision,immediatelywe soughtto gointo Macedonia,concludingthat Godhad calledus to preach the gospelto them.
and are proclaimingcustomswhichit is not lawfulfor us to acceptorto observe,beingRomans."
A visionappearedto Paulin the night:a manof Macedoniawas standingand appealingto him, and saying,"Come overto Macedoniaand helpus."
But whenSilasand Timothycame downfrom Macedonia,Paul[began] devoting himself completelyto the word,solemnly testifyingto the Jewsthat Jesuswas the Christ.
Nowafterthese thingswere finished,Paulpurposedin the spiritto goto Jerusalemafter he had passed throughMacedoniaand Achaia,saying,"AfterI have beenthere,I mustalsoseeRome."
The citywas filledwith the confusion,and they rushedwith one accordinto the theater,dragging alongGaiusand Aristarchus,Paul'straveling companionsfrom Macedonia.
Afterthe uproarhad ceased,Paulsentfor the disciples,and when he had exhortedthem and taken his leaveof them, he leftto goto Macedonia.
And [there] he spentthreemonths,and when a plotwas formedagainsthim by the Jewsas he was aboutto set sailfor Syria,he decidedto returnthroughMacedonia.
We sailedfrom Philippiafterthe daysof UnleavenedBread, and cameto them at Troaswithinfivedays;and therewe stayedsevendays.
And embarkingin an Adramyttianship,which was aboutto sailto the regionsalong the coastof Asia,we put out to seaaccompaniedby Aristarchus,a Macedonianof Thessalonica.
For Macedoniaand Achaiahave been pleasedto makea contributionfor the pooramong the saintsin Jerusalem.
