And when Pauland Barnabashadgreatdissensionand debatewith them, [the brethren] determinedthat Pauland Barnabasand someothersof them should goup to Jerusalemto the apostlesand eldersconcerningthisissue.
"Ifyou dothisthingand God[so] commandsyou, then you will be ableto endure,and allthesepeoplealsowill goto their placein peace."
Sohe invitedthem in and gave them lodging.And on the next dayhe gotup and went awaywith them, and someof the brethrenfrom Joppaaccompaniedhim.
"The Spirittoldme to gowith them withoutmisgivings.Thesesixbrethrenalsowentwith me and we enteredthe man'shouse.
And thisthey did,sendingit in chargeof Barnabasand Saulto the elders.
it seemed goodto us, having becomeof one mind,to selectmento sendto you with our belovedBarnabasand Paul,
"Thereforewe have sentJudasand Silas,who themselveswill alsoreportthe same thingsby word[of mouth].
When they arrivedat Jerusalem,they were receivedby the churchand the apostlesand the elders,and they reportedallthat Godhad donewith them.
Nowwhilethey were passing throughthe cities,they were deliveringthe decreeswhich had been decidedupon by the apostlesand elderswhowere in Jerusalem,for them to observe.
And the followingday Paulwentin with us to James,and allthe elderswere present.
Paul,called[as] an apostleof JesusChristby the willof God,and Sosthenesour brother,
For I considermyself not in the leastinferiorto the most eminentapostles.
But we did not yieldin subjectionto them for evenan hour,sothat the truthof the gospelwould remainwith you.
Beloved,while I was makingeveryeffortto writeyou aboutour commonsalvation,I feltthe necessityto writeto you appealingthat you contend earnestlyfor the faithwhich was once for allhanded downto the saints.
The LORDsaidto Samuel,"Listento the voiceof the peoplein regard to allthat they sayto you, for they have not rejectedyou, but they have rejectedMe from beingkingoverthem.
