"[As for the fact] that He raisedHim up from the dead,no longerto returnto decay,He has spokenin this way:I WILL GIVEYOU THE HOLY[and] SURE[blessings] OF DAVID.'
"Trulyis not my housesowith God?For He has madean everlastingcovenantwith me, Orderedin allthings,and secured;For allmy salvationand all[my] desire,Will He not indeedmake [it] grow?
"Inclineyour earand cometo Me. Listen,that you may live;And I will makean everlastingcovenantwith you, [According to] the faithfulmerciesshown to David.
But they shall servethe LORDtheir Godand Davidtheir king,whomI will raiseup for them.
thenI would rejectthe descendantsof Jacoband DavidMy servant,not takingfrom his descendantsrulersoverthe descendantsof Abraham,Isaacand Jacob.But I will restoretheir fortunesand will havemercyon them.'"
Afterwardthe sonsof Israelwill returnand seekthe LORDtheir Godand Davidtheir king;and they will cometremblingto the LORDand to His goodnessin the lastdays.
"In that dayI will raiseup the fallenboothof David,And wallup its breaches;I will also raiseup its ruinsAnd rebuildit as in the daysof old;
"In that daythe LORDwill defendthe inhabitantsof Jerusalem,and the one who is feebleamong them in that daywill be like David,and the houseof David[will be] like God,like the angelof the LORDbeforethem.
"But GodraisedHim from the dead;
that Godhas fulfilledthis[promise] to our childrenin that He raisedup Jesus,as it is alsowrittenin the secondPsalm,YOU ARE MY SON;TODAYI HAVE BEGOTTENYOU.'
but He whomGodraiseddid not undergodecay.
"But Godraised Him up again,putting an endto the agonyof death,sinceit was impossiblefor Him to be heldin its power.
knowingthat Christ,having been raisedfrom the dead,is neverto dieagain;deathno longeris master overHim.
