and he said,'Cornelius,your prayerhas been heardand your almshave been rememberedbeforeGod.
"Goand sayto Hezekiah,'Thussaysthe LORD,the Godof your fatherDavid,"I have heardyour prayer,I have seenyour tears;behold,I will addfifteenyearsto your life.
Then he saidto me, "Do not be afraid,Daniel,for from the firstdaythat you setyour hearton understanding[this] and on humblingyourself beforeyour God,your wordswere heard,and I have comein response to your words.
"At the beginningof your supplicationsthe commandwas issued,and I have cometo tell[you], for you are highlyesteemed;so giveheedto the messageand gainunderstandingof the vision.
He shall then bringit to Aaron'ssonsthe priests;and shall takefrom it his handfulof its fineflourand of its oilwith allof its frankincense.And the priestshall offer[it] up in smoke[as] its memorialportionon the altar,an offeringby fireof a soothingaromato the LORD.
The priestthen shall takeup from the grain offeringits memorialportion,and shall offer[it] up in smokeon the altar[as] an offeringby fireof a soothingaromato the LORD.
He shall bringit to the priest,and the priestshall takehis handfulof it as its memorialportionand offer[it] up in smokeon the altar,with the offeringsof the LORDby fire:it is a sinoffering.
But the angelsaidto him, "Do not be afraid,Zacharias,for your petitionhas been heard,and your wifeElizabethwill bearyou a son,and you will givehim the nameJohn.
Corneliussaid,"Fourdaysagoto thishour,I was prayingin my houseduring the ninth hour;and behold,a manstoodbeforeme in shininggarments,
Thereforesendto Joppaand inviteSimon,whois also calledPeter,to come to you; he is stayingat the houseof Simon[the] tannerby the sea.'
And fixing his gazeon him and beingmuch alarmed,he said,"Whatis it, Lord?"And he saidto him, "Your prayersand almshave ascendedas a memorialbeforeGod.
But I have receivedeverythingin fulland have an abundance;I am amply supplied,having receivedfrom Epaphrodituswhat you have sent,a fragrantaroma,an acceptablesacrifice,well-pleasingto God.
For Godis not unjustso as to forgetyour workand the lovewhichyou have showntowardHis name,in having ministeredand in still ministeringto the saints.
WhenHe had takenthe book,the fourliving creaturesand the twenty-foureldersfell downbeforethe Lamb,each oneholdinga harpand goldenbowlsfullof incense,whichare the prayersof the saints.
