And Davidaroseand wentwith allthe peoplewhowere with him to Baale-judah,to bringup from therethe arkof Godwhichis calledby the Name,the very nameof the LORDof hostswho is enthroned[above] the cherubim.
He laysthe beamsof His upperchambersin the waters;He makesthe cloudsHis chariot;He walksupon the wingsof the wind;
If I takethe wingsof the dawn,If I dwellin the remotestpartof the sea,
He rodeupon a cheruband flew;And He spedupon the wingsof the wind.
The chariotsof Godare myriads,thousandsupon thousands;The Lordis among them [as at] Sinai,in holiness.
Oh, giveear,Shepherdof Israel,You who leadJosephlike a flock;You who are enthroned[above] the cherubim,shineforth!
The LORDreigns,let the peoplestremble;He is enthroned[above] the cherubim,let the earthshake!
"Makeonecherubat oneendand onecherubat the otherend;you shall makethe cherubim[of one piece] with the mercyseatat its twoends.
Then the gloryof the Godof Israelwentup from the cherubon whichit had been,to the thresholdof the temple.And He calledto the manclothedin linenat whoseloinswas the writingcase.
Are they not allministeringspirits,sentout to render servicefor the sakeof thosewho willinheritsalvation?
So the peoplesentto Shiloh,and from therethey carriedthe arkof the covenantof the LORDof hostswho sits[above] the cherubim;and the twosonsof Eli,Hophniand Phinehas,[were] therewith the arkof the covenantof God.
