Behold,the Cushitearrived,and the Cushitesaid,"Let my lordthe kingreceivegood news,for the LORDhas freedyou this dayfrom the handof allthose who roseup againstyou."
Then Ahimaazthe sonof Zadoksaid,"Pleaselet me runand bringthe kingnewsthat the LORDhas freedhim from the handof his enemies."
Ahimaazcalledand saidto the king,"All is well."And he prostratedhimself before the kingwith his faceto the ground.And he said,"Blessedis the LORDyour God,whohas deliveredup the menwholiftedtheir handsagainst my lordthe king."
Then the kingsaid,"Turnasideand standhere."So he turnedasideand stoodstill.
The righteouswill rejoicewhenhe seesthe vengeance;He will washhis feetin the bloodof the wicked.
"ThenDaniel,whosenameis Belteshazzar,was appalledfor a whileas his thoughtsalarmedhim. The kingrespondedand said,'Belteshazzar,do not let the dreamor its interpretationalarmyou.' Belteshazzarreplied,My lord,[if only] the dreamapplied to those who hateyou and its interpretationto your adversaries!
"Thuslet allYour enemiesperish,O LORD;But let those who loveHim be like the risingof the sunin its might."And the landwas undisturbedfor fortyyears.
