Now Ahimaazthe sonof Zadoksaidoncemoreto Joab,"But whateverhappens,pleaselet me alsorunafterthe Cushite."And Joabsaid,"Whywould you run,my son,since you will havenorewardfor going?"
Then Joabsaidto the Cushite,"Go,tellthe kingwhatyou have seen."So the Cushitebowedto Joaband ran.
"But whateverhappens,"[he said], "I will run."So he saidto him, "Run."Then Ahimaazranby wayof the plainand passedup the Cushite.
The kingsaid,"Is it wellwith the youngmanAbsalom?"And Ahimaazanswered,"When Joabsentthe king'sservant,and your servant,I sawa greattumult,but I did not knowwhat[it was]."
Then Pharaohsaidto him, "But whathave you lackedwith me, that behold,you are seekingto goto your own country?"And he answered,"Nothing;neverthelessyou must surelyletme go."
And justas they did not see fitto acknowledgeGodany longer, Godgave them overto a depravedmind,to dothosethings which are not proper,
and [there must be no] filthinessand silly talk,orcoarse jesting,whichare not fitting,but rathergiving of thanks.
