But the kingsaidto Absalom,"No,my son,we should not allgo,for we will be burdensometo you." Although he urgedhim, he wouldnot go,but blessedhim.
Absalomcameto the kingand said,"Beholdnow,your servanthas sheepshearers;pleaselet the kingand his servantsgowith your servant."
Then Absalomsaid,"If not, pleaselet my brotherAmnongowith us." And the kingsaidto him, "Whyshould he gowith you?"
Joabfellon his faceto the ground,prostratedhimself and blessedthe king;then Joabsaid,"Todayyour servantknowsthat I have foundfavorin your sight,O my lord,the king,in that the kinghas performedthe requestof his servant."
"And the mastersaidto the slave,'Goout into the highwaysand along the hedges,and compel[them] to comein, sothat my housemay be filled.
But they urgedHim, saying,"Staywith us, for it is [getting] towardevening,and the dayis nownearly over."SoHe wentin to staywith them.
And whenshe and her householdhad been baptized,she urgedus, saying,"Ifyou have judgedme to be faithfulto the Lord,comeinto my houseand stay."And she prevailedupon us.
Now behold,Boazcamefrom Bethlehemand saidto the reapers,"May the LORDbe with you." And they saidto him, "May the LORDblessyou."
