Lotwentout and spoketo his sons-in-law,who were to marryhis daughters,and said,"Up, getout of thisplace,for the LORDwill destroythe city."But he appearedto his sons-in-lawto be jesting.
That whichhas beenis that whichwill be, And that whichhas been doneis that whichwill be done.So thereis nothingnewunderthe sun.
Becausethe sentenceagainst an evildeedis not executedquickly,thereforethe heartsof the sonsof menamong them are givenfullyto doevil.
Look,they keep sayingto me, "Whereis the wordof the LORD?Let it comenow!"
who say,Is not [the time] nearto buildhouses?This[city] is the potand we are the flesh.'
You have weariedthe LORDwith your words.Yet you say,"Howhave we wearied[Him]?" In that you say,"Everyonewho doesevilis goodin the sightof the LORD,and He delightsin them," or,"Whereis the Godof justice?"
"For the Sonof Manis goingto comein the gloryof His Fatherwith His angels,and WILL THENREPAYEVERY MANACCORDINGTO HIS DEEDS.
"TrulyI sayto you, there are someof thosewho are standingherewhowill not tastedeathuntilthey seethe Sonof Mancomingin His kingdom."
"Whereverthe corpseis, therethe vultureswill gather.
"But ifthat evilslavesaysin his heart,My masteris not coming for a long time,'
"But from the beginningof creation,[God] MADETHEM MALEAND FEMALE.
"For thosedayswill be a [time of] tribulationsuchas has not occurredsincethe beginningof the creationwhichGodcreateduntilnow,and neverwill.
"But ifthat slavesaysin his heart,'My masterwill be a long timein coming,'and beginsto beatthe slaves,[both] menand women,and to eatand drinkand get drunk;
Thenfallingon his knees,he criedout with a loudvoice,"Lord,do not holdthissinagainst them!" Having saidthis,he fell asleep.
For whois our hopeorjoyorcrownof exultation?Is it not evenyou, in the presenceof our LordJesusat His coming?
lookingfor and hasteningthe comingof the dayof God,becauseof whichthe heavenswill be destroyedby burning,and the elementswill meltwith intense heat!
