So they cameand calledto the gatekeepersof the city,and they toldthem, saying,"We cameto the campof the Arameans,and behold,therewas noonethere,northe voiceof man,onlythe horsestiedand the donkeystied,and the tentsjustas they were."
Then the watchmansawanothermanrunning;and the watchmancalledto the gatekeeperand said,"Behold,[another] manrunningby himself."And the kingsaid,"Thisonealsois bringinggood news."
The gatekeeperscalledand told[it] withinthe king'shousehold.
Then they saidto oneanother,"We are not doingright.Thisdayis a dayof good news,but we are keepingsilent;if we waituntilmorninglight,punishmentwill overtakeus. Nowtherefore come,let us goand tellthe king'shousehold."
and with them their relativesof the secondrank,Zechariah,Ben,Jaaziel,Shemiramoth,Jehiel,Unni,Eliab,Benaiah,Maaseiah,Mattithiah,Eliphelehu,Mikneiah,Obed-edomand Jeiel,the gatekeepers.
and Obed-edomwith his 68relatives;Obed-edom,also the sonof Jeduthun,and Hosahas gatekeepers.
He stationedthe gatekeepersof the houseof the LORD,so that noone would enter[who was] in anywayunclean.
Unlessthe LORDbuildsthe house,They laborin vainwho buildit; Unlessthe LORDguardsthe city,The watchmankeepsawakein vain.
