"Therefore, the leprosyof Naamanshall clingto you and to your descendantsforever."So he wentout from his presencea leper[as white] as snow.
"May it fallon the headof Joaband on allhis father'shouse;and may there not failfrom the houseof Joabone who has a discharge,or who is a leper,or who takesholdof a distaff,or who fallsby the sword,or who lacksbread."
The LORDstruckthe king,so that he was a leperto the dayof his death.And he livedin a separatehouse,while Jothamthe king'ssonwas overthe household,judgingthe peopleof the land.
Now Naaman,captainof the armyof the kingof Aram,was a greatmanwith his master,and highly respected,becauseby him the LORDhad givenvictoryto Aram.The manwas also a valiantwarrior,[but he was] a leper.
"You shall not worshipthem or servethem; for I, the LORDyour God,am a jealousGod,visitingthe iniquityof the fatherson the children,on the thirdand the fourthgenerations of those who hateMe,
The LORDfurthermoresaidto him, "Nowputyour handinto your bosom."So he puthis handinto his bosom,and when he tookit out, behold,his handwas leprouslike snow.
You have plowedwickedness,you have reapedinjustice,You have eatenthe fruitof lies.Becauseyou have trustedin your way,in your numerouswarriors,
"The priestshall then look,and ifthere is a whiteswellingin the skin,and it has turnedthe hairwhite,and there is quickrawfleshin the swelling,
then the priestshall lookat it. And ifthe hairin the brightspothas turnedwhiteand it appearsto be deeperthanthe skin,it is leprosy;it has brokenout in the burn.Therefore, the priestshall pronouncehim unclean;it is an infectionof leprosy.
But when the cloudhad withdrawnfrom overthe tent,behold,Miriam[was] leprous,as [white as] snow.As AaronturnedtowardMiriam,behold,she [was] leprous.
And immediatelyshe fellat his feetand breathed her last,and the young mencamein and foundher dead,and they carriedher out and buriedher besideher husband.
And as he heardthesewords,Ananiasfell downand breathed his last;and greatfearcameoverallwho heardof it.
But Petersaidto him, "May your silverperishwith you, becauseyou thoughtyou could obtainthe giftof Godwith money!
For the love of moneyis a rootof allsorts of evil,and someby longingfor it have wandered awayfrom the faithand piercedthemselveswith manygriefs.
Joshuasaid,"Whyhave you troubledus? The LORDwill troubleyou thisday."And allIsraelstonedthem with stones;and they burnedthem with fireafter they had stonedthem with stones.
and in [their] greedthey will exploityou with false words;their judgmentfrom long agois not idle,and their destructionis not asleep.
