And Hosheathe sonof Elahmadea conspiracyagainstPekahthe sonof Remaliah,and struckhim and puthim to deathand becamekingin his place,in the twentiethyearof Jothamthe sonof Uzziah.
Ahaz[was] twentyyearsoldwhen he becameking,and he reignedsixteenyearsin Jerusalem;and he did not dowhatwas rightin the sightof the LORDhis God,as his fatherDavid[had done].
So Ahazsleptwith his fathers,and was buriedwith his fathersin the cityof David;and his sonHezekiahreignedin his place.
In the twelfthyearof Ahazkingof Judah,Hosheathe sonof ElahbecamekingoverIsraelin Samaria,[and reigned] nineyears.
Now in the fourthyearof KingHezekiah,whichwas the seventhyearof Hosheasonof Elahkingof Israel,Shalmaneserkingof Assyriacameup againstSamariaand besiegedit.
Ahazhis son,Hezekiahhis son,Manassehhis son,
So Ahazsleptwith his fathers,and they buriedhim in the city,in Jerusalem,for they did not bringhim into the tombsof the kingsof Israel;and Hezekiahhis sonreignedin his place.
Hezekiahbecameking[when he was] twenty-fiveyearsold;and he reignedtwenty-nineyearsin Jerusalem.And his mother'sname[was] Abijah,the daughterof Zechariah.
Now at the completionof the burntofferings,the kingand allwho were presentwith him boweddownand worshiped.
The wordof the LORDwhichcame[to] Micahof Moreshethin the daysof Jotham,Ahaz[and] Hezekiah,kingsof Judah,whichhe sawconcerningSamariaand Jerusalem.
