Then he wrotea letterto them a secondtimesaying,"Ifyou are on my side, and you will listento my voice,takethe headsof the men,your master'ssons,and cometo me at Jezreeltomorrowabout this time."Now the king'ssons,seventypersons,[were] with the greatmenof the city,[who] were rearingthem.
And the one who[was] overthe household,and he who[was] overthe city,the elders,and the guardiansof [the children], sent[word] to Jehu,saying,"We are your servants,allthat you sayto us we will do,we will not makeanymanking;dowhatis goodin your sight."
When the lettercameto them, they tookthe king'ssonsand slaughtered[them], seventypersons,and puttheir headsin baskets,and sent[them] to him at Jezreel.
Now in the morninghe wentout and stoodand saidto allthe people,"You are innocent;behold,I conspiredagainstmy masterand killedhim, but whokilledallthese?
Then he liftedup his faceto the windowand said,"Whois on my side?Who?"And twoor threeofficialslookeddownat him.
"[You say], 'Godstoresawaya man's iniquityfor his sons.'Let God repayhim so that he may know[it].
The LORDsaidto Moses,"Takeallthe leadersof the peopleand executethem in broaddaylightbefore the LORD,so that the fierceangerof the LORDmay turnawayfrom Israel."
"He who is not with Me is againstMe; and he who does not gatherwith Me scatters.
But Jesussaidto him, "Do not hinder[him]; for he whois not againstyou is for you."
You shall not worshipthem or servethem; for I, the LORDyour God,am a jealousGod,visitingthe iniquityof the fatherson the children,and on the thirdand the fourth[generations] of those who hateMe,
