But Jehuwas not carefulto walkin the lawof the LORD,the Godof Israel,with allhis heart;he did not departfrom the sinsof Jeroboam,whichhe made Israelsin.
"He will giveup Israelon accountof the sinsof Jeroboam,whichhe committedand with whichhe made Israelto sin."
sothat the LORDmay carryout His promisewhichHe spokeconcerningme, saying,Ifyour sonsare carefulof their way,to walkbeforeMe in truthwith alltheir heartand with alltheir soul,you shall not lacka manon the throneof Israel.'
However,[as for] the sinsof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat,whichhe made Israelsin,from these Jehudid not depart,[even] the goldencalvesthat [were] at Betheland that [were] at Dan.
The sonsof Israelwalkedin allthe sinsof Jeroboamwhichhe did;they did not departfrom them
Nevertheless,he clungto the sinsof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat,whichhe made Israelsin;he did not departfrom them.
"Nowtherefore, O LORD,the Godof Israel,keepwith Your servantDavid,my father,that whichYou have promisedhim, saying,You shall not lacka manto siton the throneof Israel,ifonlyyour sonstakeheedto their way,to walkin My lawas you have walkedbeforeMe.'
are joiningwith their kinsmen,their nobles,and are takingon themselves a curseand an oathto walkin God'slaw,whichwas giventhroughMoses,God'sservant,and to keepand to observeallthe commandmentsof GODour Lord,and His ordinancesand His statutes;
Howcan a youngmankeephis waypure?By keeping[it] according to Your word.
I said,"I will guardmy waysThat I may not sinwith my tongue;I will guardmy mouthas with a muzzleWhilethe wickedare in my presence."
They did not keepthe covenantof GodAnd refusedto walkin His law;
Watchover your heartwith alldiligence,For from it [flow] the springsof life.
"I will putMy Spiritwithinyou and causeyou to walkin My statutes,and you will be carefulto observeMy ordinances.
norhave we obeyedthe voiceof the LORDour God,to walkin His teachingswhichHe setbeforeus throughHis servantsthe prophets.
"So watchyourselvescarefully,sinceyou did not seeanyformon the daythe LORDspoketo you at Horebfrom the midstof the fire,
"So watchyourselves, that you do not forgetthe covenantof the LORDyour GodwhichHe madewith you, and makefor yourselves a gravenimagein the formof anything[against] whichthe LORDyour Godhas commandedyou.
"You shall walkin allthe waywhichthe LORDyour Godhas commandedyou, that you may liveand that it may be wellwith you, and that you may prolong[your] daysin the landwhichyou will possess.
Seeto it that noonecomes shortof the graceof God;that norootof bitternessspringingup causes trouble,and by it manybe defiled;
For thisreasonwe mustpaymuch closerattentionto what we have heard,sothat we do not drift away[from it].
