Though I havemany thingsto writeto you, I do not wantto [do so] with paperand ink;but I hopeto cometo you and speakfaceto face,sothat your joymay be made full.
"I havemanymorethingsto sayto you, but you cannotbear[them] now.
"These thingsI have spokento you sothat My joymay be in you, and [that] your joymay be made full.
With him I speakmouthto mouth,Even openly,and not in darksayings,And he beholdsthe formof the LORD.Whythen were you not afraidTo speakagainst My servant,against Moses?"
These thingswe write,sothat our joymay be made complete.
And I urge[you] all the moreto dothis,sothat I may be restoredto you the sooner.
wheneverI goto Spain--for I hopeto seeyou in passing,and to be helped on my waythereby you, when I have firstenjoyedyour company for a while--
"But nowI cometo You; and these thingsI speakin the worldsothat they may haveMy joymade fullin themselves.
"Untilnowyou have askedfor nothingin My name;askand you will receive,sothat your joymay be made full.
Take noticethat our brotherTimothyhas been released,with whom,ifhe comessoon,I will seeyou.
At the same timealsoprepareme a lodging,for I hopethat throughyour prayersI will be givento you.
longingto seeyou, even as I recallyour tears,sothat I may be filledwith joy.
"He who hasthe brideis the bridegroom;but the friendof the bridegroom,who standsand hearshim, rejoicesgreatlybecauseof the bridegroom'svoice.Sothisjoyof minehas been made full.
For thisreason,ifI come,I will call attentionto his deedswhichhe does,unjustly accusingus with wickedwords;and not satisfiedwith this,he himselfdoes not receivethe brethren,either,and he forbidsthosewho desire[to do so] and puts[them] out of the church.
