Therefore,being alwaysof good courage,and knowingthat while we are at homein the bodywe are absentfrom the Lord--

In the fearof the LORDthere is strongconfidence,And his childrenwill haverefuge.
For thusthe LordGOD,the HolyOneof Israel,has said,"In repentanceand restyou will be saved,In quietnessand trustis your strength."But you were not willing,
Then Rabshakehsaidto them, "Saynowto Hezekiah,'Thussaysthe greatking,the kingof Assyria,"Whatis thisconfidencethat you have?
For we knowthat ifthe earthlytentwhich is our houseis torn down,we havea buildingfrom God,a housenot made with hands,eternalin the heavens.
we are of good courage,I say, and preferratherto be absentfrom the bodyand to be at homewith the Lord.
Therefore,do not throw awayyour confidence,whichhasa greatreward.
Allthesediedin faith,withoutreceivingthe promises,but having seenthem and having welcomedthem from a distance,and having confessedthat they were strangersand exileson the earth.
For herewe do not havea lastingcity,but we are seeking[the city] which is to come.
Therefore,I exhortthe eldersamongyou, as [your] fellow elderand witnessof the sufferingsof Christ,and a partakeralsoof the glorythat is to be revealed,
I, John,your brotherand fellow partakerin the tribulationand kingdomand perseverance[which are] in Jesus,was on the islandcalledPatmosbecauseof the wordof Godand the testimonyof Jesus.
