For indeedwhile we are in thistent,we groan, being burdened, becausewe do not wantto be unclothedbut to be clothed, sothat what is mortalwill be swallowedup by life.
For indeedin this[house] we groan, longingto be clothedwith our dwellingfrom heaven,
He will swallowup deathfor alltime,And the LordGODwill wipetearsawayfrom allfaces,And He will removethe reproachof His peoplefrom allthe earth; For the LORDhas spoken.
I considerit right,as longas I amin this[earthly] dwelling,to stiryou up by wayof reminder,
"Like a shepherd'stentmy dwellingis pulledup and removedfrom me; As a weaverI rolledup my life.He cutsme offfrom the loom; From dayuntilnightYou makean endof me.
And not onlythis, but alsowe ourselves, havingthe first fruitsof the Spirit, evenwe ourselvesgroanwithinourselves, waiting eagerlyfor [our] adoption as sons, the redemptionof our body.
Behold,I tellyou a mystery;we will not allsleep, but we will allbe changed,
inasmuchas we, having putit on, will not be foundnaked.
