The Jewsthengathered aroundHim, and were sayingto Him, "How longwill You keepus in suspense?IfYou are the Christ,tellus plainly."
"These thingsI have spokento you in figurativelanguage;an houris comingwhenI will no longerspeakto you in figurative language,but will tellyou plainlyof the Father.
His disciplessaid,"Lo,nowYou are speakingplainlyand are not usinga figure of speech.
Thereforethey spenta longtime[there] speaking boldly[with reliance] upon the Lord,who was testifyingto the wordof His grace,grantingthat signsand wondersbe doneby their hands.
Nowas they observedthe confidenceof Peterand Johnand understoodthat they were uneducatedand untrainedmen,they were amazed,and [began] to recognizethem as having beenwith Jesus.

And he was talkingand arguingwith the Hellenistic[Jews]; but they were attemptingto put him to death.
however,in the churchI desireto speakfivewordswith my mindsothat I may instructothersalso,rather thanten thousandwordsin a tongue.
NowI, Paul,myselfurgeyou by the meeknessand gentlenessof Christ--I whoam meekwhen face to facewith you, but boldtowardyou when absent!
For ifthat which fades away[was] with glory,muchmorethat which remains[is] in glory.

Greatis my confidencein you; greatis my boastingon your behalf.I am filledwith comfort;I am overflowingwith joyin allour affliction.
and that mostof the brethren,trustingin the Lordbecause of my imprisonment,havefar morecourageto speakthe wordof Godwithout fear.
accordingto my earnest expectationand hope,that I will not be put to shamein anything,but [that] with allboldness,Christwill evennow,as always,be exaltedin my body,whetherby lifeorby death.
that I may make it clearin the wayI oughtto speak.
but after we had already sufferedand been mistreatedin Philippi,as you know,we had the boldnessin our Godto speakto you the gospelof Godamidmuchopposition.
For thosewho have servedwellas deaconsobtainfor themselvesa highstandingand greatconfidencein the faiththat is in ChristJesus.
Therefore,though I haveenoughconfidencein Christto orderyou [to do] whatis proper,
