I hadnorestfor my spirit,not findingTitusmy brother;but taking my leaveof them, I wenton to Macedonia.
Thenthe kingaroseat dawn,at the breakof day,and wentin hasteto the lions'den.
After bidding them farewell,He leftfor the mountainto pray.
Thenwe went on boardthe ship,and they returnedhomeagain.
For Macedoniaand Achaiahave been pleasedto makea contributionfor the pooramong the saintsin Jerusalem.
I urgedTitus[to go], and I sentthe brotherwith him. Titusdid not take any advantageof you, did he? Did we not conduct ourselvesin the samespirit[and walk] in the samesteps?
For thisreasonwe have been comforted.And besidesour comfort,we rejoicedevenmuchmorefor the joyof Titus,becausehis spirithas been refreshedby you all.
For ifin anythingI have boastedto him aboutyou, I was not put to shame;but as we spokeall thingsto you in truth,soalsoour boastingbeforeTitusprovedto be [the] truth.
But thanksbe to Godwho putsthe sameearnestnesson your behalfin the heartof Titus.
As for Titus,[he is] my partnerand fellow workeramongyou; as for our brethren,[they are] messengersof the churches,a gloryto Christ.
Sowe urgedTitusthat as he had previously made a beginning,sohe would alsocompletein you thisgracious workas well.
Thenafteran interval of fourteenyearsI wentup againto Jerusalemwith Barnabas,takingTitusalongalso.
But not evenTitus,whowas with me, though he was a Greek,was compelledto be circumcised.
for Demas,having lovedthispresentworld,has desertedme and goneto Thessalonica;Crescens[has gone] to Galatia,Titusto Dalmatia.
