"WhenYour peoplegoout to battleagainsttheir enemies,by whateverwayYou shall sendthem, and they prayto You towardthiscitywhichYou have chosenand the housewhichI have builtfor Your name,
if they takethoughtin the landwherethey are takencaptive,and repentand makesupplicationto You in the landof their captivity,saying,'We have sinned,we have committediniquityand have actedwickedly';
then hearfrom heaven,from Your dwellingplace,their prayerand supplications,and maintaintheir causeand forgiveYour peoplewhohave sinnedagainst You.
Now whenDanielknewthat the documentwas signed,he enteredhis house(now in his roofchamberhe had windowsopentowardJerusalem);and he continued kneelingon his kneesthreetimesa day,prayingand givingthanksbeforehis God,as he had been doingpreviously.
