"Now the LORDhas fulfilledHis wordwhichHe spoke;for I have risenin the placeof my fatherDavidand siton the throneof Israel,as the LORDpromised,and have builtthe housefor the nameof the LORD,the Godof Israel.
And Solomonsaton the throneof Davidhis father,and his kingdomwas firmlyestablished.
"Whenyour daysare fulfilledthat you must go[to be] with your fathers,that I will setup [one of] your descendantsafteryou, whowill be of your sons;and I will establishhis kingdom.
"Now,my son,the LORDbe with you that you may be successful,and buildthe houseof the LORDyour Godjustas He has spokenconcerningyou.
"Of allmy sons(for the LORDhas givenme manysons),He has chosenmy sonSolomonto siton the throneof the kingdomof the LORDoverIsrael.
"For we are sojournersbeforeYou, and tenants,as allour fatherswere; our dayson the earthare like a shadow,and thereis nohope.
Then Solomonsaton the throneof the LORDas kinginsteadof Davidhis father;and he prospered,and allIsraelobeyedhim.
Now Solomonthe sonof Davidestablishedhimself securelyoverhis kingdom,and the LORDhis God[was] with him and exaltedhim greatly.
"ThereI have setthe arkin whichis the covenantof the LORD,whichHe madewith the sonsof Israel."
Neverthelessyou shall not buildthe house,but your sonwho will be bornto you, he shall buildthe housefor My name.'
A generationgoesand a generationcomes,But the earthremainsforever.
