He broughtin the priestsand the Levitesand gatheredthem into the squareon the east.
In the firstyearof his reign,in the firstmonth,he openedthe doorsof the houseof the LORDand repairedthem.
Then he saidto them, "Listento me, O Levites.Consecrateyourselves now,and consecratethe houseof the LORD,the Godof your fathers,and carrythe uncleannessout from the holyplace.
He appointedmilitaryofficersoverthe peopleand gatheredthem to him in the squareat the citygate,and spokeencouraginglyto them, saying,
Afterthem Zadokthe sonof Immercarriedout repairsin frontof his house.And afterhim Shemaiahthe sonof Shecaniah,the keeperof the EastGate,carriedout repairs.
"Then goout to the valleyof Ben-hinnom,whichis by the entranceof the potsherdgate,and proclaimtherethe wordsthat I tellyou,
"Then they shall takeotherstonesand replace[those] stones,and he shall takeotherplasterand replasterthe house.
