Now it cameabout in the courseof time,at the endof twoyears,that his bowelscameout becauseof his sicknessand he diedin greatpain.And his peoplemadenofirefor him like the firefor his fathers.
They buriedhim in his own tombwhichhe had cutout for himself in the cityof David,and they laidhim in the restingplacewhichhe had filledwith spicesof various kindsblendedby the perfumers'art;and they madea verygreatfirefor him.
and you will suffer severesickness,a diseaseof your bowels,untilyour bowelscomeout becauseof the sickness,dayby day.'"
When they had departedfrom him (for they lefthim verysick),his own servantsconspiredagainsthim because of the bloodof the sonof Jehoiadathe priest,and murderedhim on his bed.So he died,and they buriedhim in the cityof David,but they did not buryhim in the tombsof the kings.
You will diein peace;and as [spices] were burnedfor your fathers,the formerkingswhowere beforeyou, sothey will burn[spices] for you; and they will lamentfor you, "Alas,lord!"'For I have spokenthe word,"declaresthe LORD.
