Jehoshaphathis sonthen becamekingin his place,and madehis position overIsraelfirm.
And Asasleptwith his fathersand was buriedwith his fathersin the cityof Davidhis father;and Jehoshaphathis sonreignedin his place.
Now Jehoshaphatthe sonof AsabecamekingoverJudahin the fourthyearof Ahabkingof Israel.
So Ahaziah diedaccording to the wordof the LORDwhichElijahhad spoken.And becausehe hadnoson,Jehorambecamekingin his placein the secondyearof Jehoramthe sonof Jehoshaphat,kingof Judah.
Now theseare the headsof the mightymenwhomDavidhad, who gavehim strongsupportin his kingdom,togetherwith allIsrael,to makehim king,according to the wordof the LORDconcerningIsrael.
When the kingdomof Rehoboamwas establishedand strong,he and allIsraelwith him forsookthe lawof the LORD.
He placedtroopsin allthe fortifiedcitiesof Judah,and setgarrisonsin the landof Judahand in the citiesof EphraimwhichAsahis fatherhad captured.
The Ammonitesalso gavetributeto Uzziah,and his fameextendedto the borderof Egypt,for he becameverystrong.
And he tookcourageand rebuiltallthe wallthat had been brokendownand erectedtowerson it, and [built] anotheroutsidewalland strengthenedthe Millo[in] the cityof David,and madeweaponsand shieldsin greatnumber.
The kingwill mourn,the princewill be clothedwith horror,and the handsof the peopleof the landwill tremble.Accordingto their conductI will dealwith them, and by their judgmentsI will judgethem. And they will knowthat I am the LORD.'"
Asawas the fatherof Jehoshaphat,Jehoshaphatthe fatherof Joram,and Joramthe fatherof Uzziah.
Finally,be strongin the Lordand in the strengthof His might.
