So,he who rejects[this] is not rejectingmanbut the Godwho givesHis HolySpiritto you.
"However, You borewith them for manyyears,And admonishedthem by Your SpiritthroughYour prophets,Yet they would not giveear.Therefore You gavethem into the handof the peoplesof the lands.
Mosessaid,"[This will happen] when the LORDgivesyou meatto eatin the evening,and breadto the fullin the morning;for the LORDhearsyour grumblingswhichyou grumbleagainstHim. And whatare we? Your grumblingsare not againstus but againstthe LORD."
The fearof the LORDis the beginningof knowledge;Foolsdespisewisdomand instruction.
Do not speakin the hearingof a fool,For he will despisethe wisdomof your words.
Thussaysthe LORD,the Redeemerof Israel[and] its HolyOne,To the despisedOne, To the One abhorredby the nation,To the Servantof rulers,"Kingswill seeand arise,Princeswill also bowdown,Becauseof the LORDwhois faithful,the HolyOneof Israelwho has chosenYou."
But the LORDwas pleasedTo crushHim, putting[Him] to grief;IfHe would renderHimself[as] a guiltoffering,He will see[His] offspring,He will prolong[His] days,And the goodpleasureof the LORDwill prosperin His hand.
"The one who listensto you listensto Me, and the one who rejectsyou rejectsMe; and he who rejectsMe rejectsthe One who sentMe."
"He who rejectsMe and does not receiveMy sayings,hasone who judgeshim; the wordI spokeis whatwill judgehim at the lastday.
BEHOLD,YOU SCOFFERS,AND MARVEL,AND PERISH;FOR I AM ACCOMPLISHINGA WORKIN YOUR DAYS,A WORKWHICHYOU WILL NEVERBELIEVE,THOUGHSOMEONESHOULD DESCRIBEIT TO YOU.'"
and hopedoes not disappoint,becausethe loveof Godhas been pouredout withinour heartsthroughthe HolySpiritwho was givento us.
For to us Godrevealed[them] throughthe Spirit;for the Spiritsearchesall things,eventhe depthsof God.
But in my opinionshe is happierifshe remainsas she is; and I thinkthat I alsohavethe Spiritof God.
who alsosealedus and gave[us] the Spiritin our heartsas a pledge.
Becauseyou are sons,Godhas sent forththe Spiritof His Soninto our hearts,crying,"Abba!Father!"
It was revealedto them that they were not servingthemselves,but you, in these thingswhichnowhave been announcedto you throughthosewho preached the gospelto you by the HolySpiritsentfrom heaven--things into whichangelslongto look.
for noprophecywas evermadeby an act of humanwill,but menmovedby the HolySpiritspokefrom God.
The one who keepsHis commandmentsabidesin Him, and He in him. We knowby thisthat He abidesin us, by the SpiritwhomHe has givenus.
Yetin the same waythese men,alsoby dreaming,defilethe flesh,and rejectauthority,and revileangelic majesties.
"But you have todayrejectedyour God,whodeliversyou from allyour calamitiesand your distresses;yet you have said,'No,but seta kingoverus!' Nowtherefore, presentyourselves beforethe LORDby your tribesand by your clans."
The LORDsaidto Samuel,"Listento the voiceof the peoplein regard to allthat they sayto you, for they have not rejectedyou, but they have rejectedMe from beingkingoverthem.
