not lagging behindin diligence,ferventin spirit,servingthe Lord;

Thereforewe alsohave as our ambition,whetherat homeorabsent,to be pleasingto Him.
He who stealsmust stealno longer;but ratherhe must labor,performingwith his ownhandswhat is good,sothat he will have[something] to sharewith onewho hasneed.
for kingsand allwho are in authority,sothat we may leada tranquiland quietlifein allgodlinessand dignity.
At the same timethey alsolearn[to be] idle,as they go aroundfrom house to house;and not merelyidle,but alsogossipsand busybodies,talkingabout things not proper[to mention].
Our peoplemust alsolearnto engagein gooddeedsto meet pressingneeds,sothat they will not be unfruitful.
but [let it be] the hiddenpersonof the heart,with the imperishable qualityof a gentleand quietspirit,whichis preciousin the sightof God.
Makesure that noneof you suffersas a murderer,orthief,orevildoer,ora troublesome meddler;
