Then Godsaidto him in the dream,"Yes,I knowthat in the integrityof your heartyou have donethis,and I alsokeptyou from sinningagainst Me; thereforeI did not letyou touchher.
Then the menof Gibeonsent[word] to Joshuato the campat Gilgal,saying,"Do not abandonyour servants;comeup to us quicklyand saveus and helpus, for allthe kingsof the Amoritesthat livein the hillcountryhave assembledagainstus."
So Joshuacameupon them suddenlyby marchingallnightfrom Gilgal.
The nextmorningSaulputthe peoplein threecompanies;and they cameinto the midstof the campat the morningwatchand struckdownthe Ammonitesuntilthe heatof the day.Those who survivedwere scattered,so that notwoof them were lefttogether.
Then Abigailhurriedand tooktwo hundred[loaves] of breadand twojugsof wineand fivesheepalready preparedand fivemeasuresof roastedgrainand a hundredclustersof raisinsand two hundredcakesof figs,and loaded[them] on donkeys.
