And comingto Him as to a livingstonewhich has been rejectedby men,but is choiceand preciousin the sightof God,
Saulhurledthe spearfor he thought,"I will pinDavidto the wall."But Davidescapedfrom his presencetwice.
Then Saulsentmessengersto seeDavid,saying,"Bringhim up to me on his bed,that I may puthim to death."
Nevertheless Sauldid not speakanythingthat day,for he thought,"It is an accident,he is not clean,surely[he is] not clean."
Jonathanthen answeredSaul,"Davidearnestlyaskedleaveof me [to go] to Bethlehem,
So Davidsaidto Jonathan,"Behold,tomorrowis the newmoon,and I ought to sitdownto eatwith the king.But letme go,that I may hidemyself in the fielduntilthe thirdevening.
But NabalansweredDavid'sservantsand said,"Whois David?And whois the sonof Jesse?There are manyservantstodaywho are eachbreakingawayfrom his master.
