and the customof the priestswith the people.When anymanwas offeringa sacrifice,the priest'sservantwould comewhile the meatwas boiling,with a three-prongedforkin his hand.
He saidto me, "Thisis the placewherethe priestsshall boilthe guiltofferingand the sinoffering[and] wherethey shall bakethe grain offering,in order that they may not bring[them] out into the outercourtto transmitholinessto the people."
Then he would thrustit into the pan,orkettle,orcaldron,orpot;allthat the forkbroughtup the priestwould takefor himself. Thusthey didin Shilohto allthe Israeliteswho camethere.
Now Eliwas veryold;and he heardallthat his sonswere doingto allIsrael,and howthey laywith the womenwho servedat the doorwayof the tentof meeting.
Whydo you kickat My sacrificeand at My offeringwhichI have commanded[in My] dwelling,and honoryour sonsaboveMe, by makingyourselves fatwith the choicestof everyofferingof My peopleIsrael?'
