So allthe menof Judahand Benjaminassembledat Jerusalemwithin the threedays.It was the ninthmonthon the twentiethof the month,and allthe peoplesatin the opensquare[before] the houseof God,tremblingbecauseof this matterand the heavy rain.

ThenJoshuaspoketo the LORDin the daywhen the LORDdeliveredup the Amoritesbeforethe sonsof Israel,and he saidin the sightof Israel,"O sun,standstillat Gibeon,And O moonin the valleyof Aijalon."
On that daythe LORDexaltedJoshuain the sightof allIsrael;so that they reveredhim, justas they had reveredMosesallthe daysof his life.
